Have you not read Annia's post of 8 March?
The sets were destroyed in a fire.
Maybe someone did pull the wrong plug and the results were catastrophic.
Read the earlier posts and all will be revealed;

Ian, Yesterday hasn't just suddenly stopped showing The House of Elliot, that was the very last episode of the series and there was never any more series' made. So even though there were stories still to be written they never got done , the BBC pulled the plug on it and there were no more episodes filmed.

Why has "yesterday"stopped house of Eliott yet again, we were at a point where Tilly finds she's lost the chance to a new job with a cottage and the series come to an abruped end.
"Yesterday" has made no effort to explain whats going on, or whether they intend bringing it back, does anyone have any updates?? Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Dear Yvonne and Mags,
If you go back to a posting by Annia9348 on Sunday 8 March you will read the horrible truth.
Why Yesterday never considered that their audience deserved 15 seconds of explanation of the abrupt ending to the series only they can say.

Yes that was the very last episode. they should have have been making series 4 but the bbc scrapped the series for some reason. So even though there were still good storylines to be written and filmed sadly it never got done.

Was that it then? Was the very last ever episode the one when Evangeline said that she was leaving the company and then repented, saying that she would fight the others' decision to cut back on the couture?

Or did they just stop in the middle of the series without telling anyone again? I haven't seen any other complaints about it so maybe I've missed something. I did check the programme guide to see if that was the last episode made but it just said that The House of Elliott was off air at the present time.

Hi there CB

No you haven't missed any episodes, you just have to join the dots! Wink

Season 2 ends with Evie and Bea leaving UK, and season 3 starts with them leaving USA. Jack went to Germany. I believe Don owned the US mail order company that sold Evie and Bea's American ready to wear collection.

Watch it again, it'll all make sense. Tongue

Several of you were kind enough to tell us that series 3 would start on 8th May. So I duly tuned in (to the repeat on the next day) and found that it started with them saying goodbye in America and returning to England. As the last episode of Series 2 was them on the ship to America waiting to see if Jack would arrive last minute on the ship to join them or not, can anyone tell me, have I missed anything in between? and if so, a quick resume' of key things would be a huge favour!!! What happened to Jack? Who is the man Evie calls Don(?) and had flowers from? I would be really sorry if I have missed lots of episodes before 8th May.
Many thanks!

Tip for anyone recording The House Of Elliot.

If your equipment is like mine and it set's it's clock automatically to the time broadcast on BBC1 TV, you may have noticed you are missing the start of The House of Elliot and record the start of the next program.

For some reason Yesterday starts broadcasting programs due to start on the hour up to 3 minutes early. If you set your timer to start at 14.58 and stop at 15.59, you'll get it all.

I somehow doubt they will start broadcasting on the hour, during the current 2nd and 3rd seasons as a response to this listing as I don't think they read this list.

Just trawled through Yesterday's "When is it on" section for House of Elliot - had to reach page 38 before Series 3 appears! Series 3 is listed to start on Fri 8th May at 3 p.m. and repeated at 6 p.m. It is also repeated the next day, Saturday 9th May at 10 a.m.

Yes, the 3rd sries is now to be shown starting 8th May, which is not a Sunday, so if in the day, bad luck for those who work.

I saw on The House Of Elliot page it looks as if they re going to be restarting the series, one episode per weekday at 3pm starting Wednesday 1st April.

So I mailed them to ask if this implies series 3 would not be showing May, as some viewers had been told. Here's the response.

"The interaction ID for this email is 23180

Dear Annia,

At the moment, unfortunately we do not have a specific date when we plan to show this programme again.

You can view scheduling information on our website at the link below; you may wish to keep an eye on the link to see if the programme gets added to future schedules.

uktv.co.uk/uktv/tv

We will pass your request on to the relevant department who will look into this further.

If you have any queries in the mean time then please don't hesitate to contact UKTV again.
Kind regards

The UKTV Team"

All I can say is Ay, yi, yi, yi, yi! If they don't know what they are doing?????

I really think Yesterday has has lost it's way. Maybe they've never heard of 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' It wasn't broke, it could have been added to, but I think it's just losing viewers, not adding or changing them. This link explains a lot. I'm certainly not represented here and I doubt a lot of other viewers are as well.

My viewing of Yesterday is about 15-20 hours a week less
than UKTV History. I miss it. Currently it bores me.

I do hope that they will repeat the House of Eliott on Sundays and then everyone will finally be happy! Please confirm "Yesterday" and then there may be end to this debate.
Its good to know there are so many House of Eliott fans out there.

House of Elliot - SO pleased to see that this series is coming back on 8th May. Sometimes I think the programmers lose sight of reality; stopping something in mid-season was quite unbelievable.

Thank goodness the POWER OF THE WEB can work to rectify such pathetic planning.

Just realised May 8th is a Friday! If it's during the day what about the people who work? And my video doesn't work, and I don't have a DVD. Why not a Sunday when we can all relax and enjoy it?

Just asking

I must admit that I was beginning to wonder if there was any connection between what we, the viewers, were posting and the management of YESTERDAY. But yes, there is.
It is very satisfying to know, or perhaps to believe, that we have obtained a U-turn.
Even if the end of the series will never be seen at least we now know that we shall have to use our imaginations to finish the story. Smile

Good news at last - it appears that Yesterday has taken notice of our comments. I've copied their response to my e-mail below:

"Thank you for your feedback, it is important to know what our viewers think and UKTV do pay attention to the message boards and e-mails.

However, House of Eliott was not pulled and we were showing series 2 which came to an end. Series 3 is in the schedule from May 8th onwards.

We will take on board our viewers comments and in future will try to schedule all the series in one batch.

Apologies again and we really do appreciate your feedback".
