How apt, your new tagline, 'who says you can't change history'!Part One of the Seven Ages of Rock was even introduced by the announcer as featuring Jimi Hendrix, and in the BBC version, he is the central figure, all references to him in your version have been entirely removed, as if a latter-day Stalin had made him a 'non-person'! You could easily have accommodated the adverts by trimming elsewhere. But no. In a move that must stand unique in broadcasting history, you actually removed the main subject of the the programme from the programme itself. This stands as an object lesson in how to lose several years' well-earned reputation and integrity in a single show. If only it really were yesterday, eh?

The Police are a pop band with heavy reggae influences, so what are they doing on a series purporting to be about rock? If 'The 7 Ages of Pop' was made, would you see Led Zeppelin? I don't think so. Poorly researched and made series by people that don't have a clue.

Having just watched the Metal Years of "the Seven Ages of Rock", I could not beleive they gave credit to Judas Priest
for bringing black leather & studs to the metal scene, it was the "Bikers" who supported Sabbath & the like,in the earley years of metal, that brought the look, & Judas Priest, just saw who where coming to the gigs & adopted the the look, & just added to it, they did not start it! Angry

Wow! Up to episode three & no mension of the Beatles! Didn't Lennon & McCartney have just the merest influence on the music scene in the 60's & 70's?

This sort of editing/omission makes the accuracy of the series laughable!

Couldn't agree more! This sort of editing makes one suspicious of the credibility of the rest of the channels output! Beware! Angry
