The House of Eliott

Was that it then? Was the very last ever episode the one when Evangeline said that she was leaving the company and then repented, saying that she would fight the others' decision to cut back on the couture?

Or did they just stop in the middle of the series without telling anyone again? I haven't seen any other complaints about it so maybe I've missed something. I did check the programme guide to see if that was the last episode made but it just said that The House of Elliott was off air at the present time.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH EASTENDERS NOW???

What's the matter with these people? Taking popular programmes off with no warning and replacing them with several episodes of Animal Park. Bring back EastEnders NOW!! Angry

The House of Eliott

This is very annoying! I have just switched on to watch my favourite (my 3rd time around) period drama - and I'm being faced with the Antiques Roadshow instead. Time to turn over channels methinks! Do the TV programmers know how annoying this is for viewers? To be in the middle of a series and then to have it removed without a by-your-leave and no apologies at all! It's the sort of action that loses viewers for ever. I have boycotted G.O.L.D since they took EastEnders off without any warning. (I know that it's now back on on Watch and do watch that.) I'll see how it goes with Yesterday but I'm not too impressed so far. There are so many other channels to choose from, so they should be a little more considerate to their faithful viewers. Confused

Program Motif

I totally agree with all the comments regarding the pink logo. It's distracting and annoying. And I also agree with the comments about talking over the end of the programmes. The credits are there so we can see the names of the actors etc. How many times do you see a face and think "I know that person but I can't think who he/she is. I'll check out the credits at the end"? Only to find that the credits have been squeezed into a 2 inch wide frame so that the next programme can be advertised over it. Thoroughly annoying! It's all becoming very Un-British! Is this part of the infiltration of those over the water? Dragging once good British TV down to their levels? Cry

new channel format

Catering to the lowest common denominator I suppose! Duh.......... Times are hard, so they got a 5 year old to design the pretty pictures for their new image.

Neighbours

I'm another annoyed Neighbours fan! Although I watch the new series on Five, I was still catching up on episodes that I have never seen on UKTVGOLD. I know that it's quite close to when the series went over to Five, as the music and the credits are the same and most of the cast are also quite up-to-date but it's the fact that it has just disappeared without any warning or apology that is so annoying. G.O.L.D. puts out the same previews of the same repeat programmes over and over again but couldn't be bothered to tell their (until now) faithful viewers about axing both EastEnders and Neighbours. Now that there is nothing left worth watching on this channel, we can all move over to Five. Mad

The Bill

Hi mrsruff. Thanks for adding your comments. I was beginning to think that not only was I the only person watching The Bill, but also the only person posting on here. I'm glad to see that I'm not alone! Pity that nobody from UKTV Gold has been reading this...... they're still showing the old episodes from last autumn. I've given up and started watching The Wright Stuff on Channel 5. Shame on you UKTV Gold - you've just lost another viewer!

The Bill

I would just like to be able to follow the series! In summer 2007, the series stopped for the 'summer break' (though why this is necessary on a series that is already running several years after it was first televised) and we were treated to a selection of disjointed episodes containing various so-called stars. As I didn't know who half of them were, and as none of it made any sense, I stopped watching the series until after the 'summer break' finished and we returned to the series. We managed to get a few more weeks of the series and then in November, we had to stop again for the 'winter break'. Bad enough you might think, but we were subjected yet again to the same episodes of the same so-called stars in totally unconnected episodes. Obviously once the Christmas period was over, I was looking forward to getting back to normal again but so far, we are still seeing episodes that were shown last year. Are we ever going to get back to normal? Angry
