- Remind me
A six-part drama starring John Hurt as the colourful Tory minister.
Controversial, irreverent, charming and vain, Alan Clark reigned as a Conservative politician during the 1980s and 90s. Adapted from his best-selling diaries, Clark lays bare personal and political landmarks of the time with unique wit and candour, from his first lowly ministerial appointment in 1983, through the glorious rises and falls of his life.
Adapted for the screen by Jon Jones, with supporting cast including: Jenny Agutter as Clark's wife Jane, Victoria Smurfit as his secret mistress, X, and Julia Davis as Jenny Easterbrook, Clark's frosty secretary.
