Day Fourteen - Friday
5th of February, 2010Ok, time to own up. Out of the month of trying to live on a 1940’s diet, I managed two weeks. There’s been a bit of a debate in the office as to whether I did well or not.

Day Seven - Thursday
14th of January, 2010It's been nearly a week and the cravings for processed food, chocolate and wine have kicked in. Should I dabble in some black market trading?

Day Two - Saturday
10th of January, 2010Today is the day I’m going to get organised. Shopping, cooking and baking my provisions for the week.

Day One - Friday
8th of January, 201070 years old today, food rationing entered the lives of people in the UK. It lasted not just until the end of the war - but until 1954. While people were hungry during wartime - no-one starved. Diets were generally healthy than they are today and obesity was practically unheard of. And from watching old films - people were really slim. With this in mind, - I thought it seemed like a good idea to live for one month on the food our 1940's cousins would have eaten. Would I lose weight? What kind of things would I actually have to eat? Read my blog to find out.
