Robin Hood
Little John

Little John

Little John's nickname is spectacularly inappropriate, in true Robin Hood tradition: there's nothing "little" about this hearty, boisterous, grumpy, hairy barrel of a man.

A seasoned outlaw, he doesn't think much of the fresh-faced young Robin on first meeting, but soon decides to help him fight the good fight. And Little John is definitely someone you want on your side in a scrap.

Gordon's been an almost household name since the early 90s, when he was in the subversive Scottish sketch show Absolutely.

From there he went on to become, along with Anthea Turner, the very first "face" of the National Lottery on telly. He's since been here, there and everywhere, appearing in Where The Heart Is and military drama Red Cap among other things.

Robin Hood's brought him back into the limelight, but it's not all been fun and frolics: he had to be rushed to hospital after injuring his leg during a fight scene. Well, you've got to suffer for your art.
