Meet the Judges
This year, the judging panel is once again headed up by Len Goodman with Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli by his side...
Len Goodman
For regular viewers of Strictly Come Dancing, this man needs no introduction. As back home, Len is Head Judge of Dancing with the Stars due to his vast knowledge of Ballroom and Latin American Dancing, which he has gained over a lifetime of competing, judging and teaching all over the world. But Len also has qualifications to match his experience
He is an examiner for the National Association of Teachers of Dance, a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and also a Member of the International Dance Teachers Association. He is also an Adjudicator for the World Dance Council, British Dance Council, Ballroom Dancers' Federation International and also a founding member of The International Dancesport Judges and Trainers Association. He has also received various awards, including a Life Achievement Award for the work he has done in dancing and a Carl Allen Award.
Carrie Ann Inaba
The glamorous one of the panel, Carrie Ann is a former professional dancer turned choreographer and director in the television and film industry. Over the years she has choreographed many events that were televised in the US, including American Idol Christmas 2003, several Miss America pageants and Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire.
Carrie has also lent her talents to acting, having performed and danced in such films as Showgirls, Flintstones 2: Viva Rock Vegas! and two of Mike Myers' Austin Powers films. On the live circuit she has toured with Madonna and Ricky Martin.
Bruno Tonioli
Another judge who has come over from good old Blighty, Bruno Tonioli has been a popular judge on every series of Strictly Come Dancing. This former dancer is now a top choreographer who has worked on countless films, plays, music videos, commercials, concerts and television series. He is the mastermind behind the BBC's Dance X , having earned his impressive pedigree with such music icons as Elton John, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney.
