James Bolam, Alun Armstrong, Dennies Waterman and Amanda Redman star in the gritty detective series New Tricks. The foursome star as a motley crew of retired police officers who re-open troublesome cases that were never laid to rest.

From the discovery of a new motive in the killing of a college lecturer, to the tracing of a missing child, the team finds its way through the details that eluded the original officers.

But when they begin to discover a surprising incidence of cover-ups and conspiracy in their new investigations, they begin to wonder if their superiors are about to close ranks? Or if someone feeding them particular files? Either way, the suspicion that they are being manipulated is high - and the team is determined to get to the bottom of it.
