Apparently not! I've just had an email from them explaining thats the reason they have been unable to broadcast it at this point in time.
They are still planning to do so, but that will now be at such a time as when they receive the rights.
Oh well, by the end of series 7 we may be able to go back to series 6. We can all but hope I suppose!

I know several people have mentioned it already, but where oh where did series 6 go considering Watch said on their own website they were playing series 1-7 chronologically?
A bit of a late-comer I was hooked on Spooks immediately when series 7 aired last year on BBC1. Only problem was it was the second from last episode when I tuned in. When I discovered Watch were broadcasting Spooks from the beginning I've been there every Wednesday night through 2009 and I've loved every episode.
It is so frustrating to have got this far and then be denied an entire series. I dont want to watch series 7 without having seen series 6 first, grrrr I'm so annoyed!
Please could someone from UKTV explain why this has happened? And whether we are likely to see series 6 at any time in the future? I know we can read each episodes synopsis on the Spooks website, but I've done that and its not the same. So much has happened that I haven't been able to watch!
On another note, how annoying is it that the Beeb are planning on showing Series 8 on a Wednesday at 9pm? We now have a Spooks clash! Oh well I'm used to 2 hours a week of Spooks, so at least thats a bonus. Nothing however compensates for missing out on series 6. I'm hoping Santa will be kind this year and bring me the box set.
