Television's golden couple Richard & Judy are entering a thrilling new era of their celebrated career, as they unveil an innovative and exciting new show that will air every evening on Watch - UKTV's soon to be launched flagship entertainment channel.
The high-octane, celebrity filled, talk show promises to be a fresh and original entertainment series, one that will see the legendary husband and wife team abandon their daytime past, to take helm of a glamorous primetime programme.
The glitzy series will be a compelling mix of high-profile guests and exclusive entertainment strands; all delivered alongside broader arts related programming, as such the show will retain the phenomenally successful Book club the duo are famous for.
The couple's resonance with A-list guests will continue as they welcome famous faces from every aspect of the entertainment spectrum. Stars from worlds of film, sport, television, literature and music will all join them on their sparkling new sofa.
Judy Finnigan said: "When we announced our decision to leave our current television series after seven years, we were very touched by the number of people - friends, family, guests, viewers and broadcasters - who told us how much they wanted to see us continuing making programmes together.
Richard Madeley added: "We were both hugely impressed by the team at UKTV, and their proposal with Cactus TV was attractive and fun and will give us the kind of flexibility in our personal lives we've been looking for. The fact that the Richard & Judy Book Club will continue too is the icing on the cake."
Richard & Judy's new series will air daily at 8pm on UKTV's inspiring new entertainment channel. Watch will be hitting our screens on October 7th 2008.
