Festival Fever

It is possible to stay fabulous at this year's outdoor festivals without resorting to boots and a Barbour.

Ok, so we're not doubting that going all-out on glamour at this year's Glastonbury is the way forward - after all, we've all seen the pictures of celebs such as Colleen, who came a cropper in unsuitable heels last year, only to resort to scrounging a pair of wellies from a fellow reveller. But there's really no need to go to the other extreme and sacrifice all semblance of style by making like a new recruit to the Ramblers.

Instead, adopt a Miss Moss-style boho elegance by choosing low-key pieces that fit this year's San Francisco summer of love theme. Stay sure-footed with gladiator sandals (with wellies in reserve for extreme conditions). Wear with a loose-fitting, long-flowing floral maxi dress or customise a pair of your old denims into a new pair of cool cut-offs worn with a peasant-style smocked tunic.
