Episode One

Episode One

Eight patients with embarrassing illnesses arrive at an exotic detox resort on Turkey's Bodrum peninsula. Whether the health problem is a superfit Marine's excessive sweating or an engaged 22-year-old's vaginismus, they all have to undergo the same intense physical purging regime that's also designed to flush out toxic emotions. A breathing workshop frustrates eczema sufferer Rohini who's impatient to do 'the hard work' and thinks the breathing workshop was really just sitting around and doing nothing. But she gets to confront 'hard work' very quickly when an identity statement workshop with mind coach Sandy reduces her to tears.
Episode Two

Episode Two

For eight sufferers of embarrassing illnesses, life at an alternative therapy spa in Turkey has gone all fresh, raw and organic – and that's emotions as well as food. Eczema sufferer Rohini experiences spiritually uplifting acupuncture while psoriasis-ridden Yorkshire joker Paul breaks down over his fear of water in a 'mind detox' session. Tthe therapists ask probing questions of everyone's childhood: compulsive over-eater Gillian reveals deeply embedded unhappy childhood memories whilst IBS sufferer Lindsey reveals a staggering number of her close family are divorced. But it's not all emotional turmoil – there are belly laughs as the girls get to grips with belly dancing!
Episode Three

Episode Three

The patients get intimately acquainted with the enema. But that pales in comparison with the childhood pain psoriasis-sufferer Paul must face in a reflexology session while vaginismus sufferer Mujde is told that in order to open her vagina, she must open her heart. Excessive period sufferer Kathy gets a shock when acupuncturist Yair asks her to examine her sexuality. And solid food is no longer on the menu as the group begin a seven day juice and broth fast that will help eliminate physical and emotional toxic waste. Coffee is permitted but only taken anally not orally! Eek!
Episode Four

Episode Four

There's no let-up on the healing journey. A seven-day fast is bringing energy levels down, emotions up and colonic clutter out. Muscular Marine Alex reveals memories from school that might be contributing to his excessive sweating and the twice daily enemas are having a considerable effect on chronically constipated Lindsey's bowel! Paul has another emotional therapy session – this time with Yair as he works through repressed traumatic memories from childhood. Mujde learns an anger releasing technique from mind coach Sandy.
Episode Five

Episode Five

The Turkish location is idyllic but for eight Brits wanting a cure for their embarrassing illnesses, the reality of their healing journey is anything but. Compulsive over-eater Gillian remains tormented by her childhood and for vaginismus sufferer Mujde, an anger-releasing session has her more open to future possibilities but questioning her relationship with her fiancé. Paul starts to notice an improvement in his psoriasis and Rohini's severe eczema is also showing signs of change. As a treat the group spend the morning out on a boat – and when everyone jumps in for a swim, does Paul have the courage to join them?
