Meet Ann Maurice, the House Doctor
Ann Maurice a.k.a the House Doctor, has a large, devoted following in the UK thanks to her tart, no-nonsense approach to interior design in her hugely successful programme House Doctor that concentrates on taking unsaleable properties and getting them sold.
Born and raised in California, Ann got into the competitive housing market by selling real estate in the San Francisco Bay area for thirteen years. She then crossed the Atlantic to introduce the concept of 'Home Staging' or 'House Doctoring' in Great Britain, and showed viewers how to successfully prepare their homes for sale from both the practical and aesthetic points of view. The successful House Doctor programme is currently in its fifth series and going stronger than ever.
Accompanying her successful TV series, Ann has also published three books 'Ann Maurice, House Doctor', 'Ann Maurice, House Doctor - Quick Fixes' and 'House Doctor - Instant Makeovers'. These books contain case studies taken from the TV series as well as practical tips and projects for improving the value of your home whether you are selling or not.
Ann has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, studied Interior Design at the University of California and is a graduate of the Colour Research Institute of America. When she is not in the UK filming House Doctor, Ann divides her time between her main home in San Francisco, California and her holiday home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her most recent interior design project is a studio garden flat conversion in San Francisco.
Ann has two daughters and two grand-daughters. She shares here homes with her partner, Timothy, and a beloved dog, Floyd.

Dear Cheeky
It is always best to view the house BEFORE you buy it. I presume you did not do so, or the problems would not have been so bad. As she is an Estate Agent I also think you may have some come back (if things have been removed or damaged since your negotiations began) as she may be a member of a trade association.
Cheer up, you must have some reasons why it was this house you wanted to buy.
