Choosing a Bathroom Suite
Having problems finding the right suite for your new bathroom? Look no further! Take advice from Debbie Rix on everything from the style to the shape.
Dear Debbie
My bathroom is so small I am having trouble finding a reasonably priced bath unit that will fit. They normally come in sizes: 1700mm (67in) or 1500mm (59in). The 1500mm size is about 2-3cm too large. Where can I get a smaller bath, or what can I do to make the 1500mm size fit?
Regards,
Gill Perrin

Dear Gill
If you're having problems finding a bath to fit a small space then look no further than C.P. Hart. This fantastic bathroom emporium carries a vast range of bathroom fixtures and fittings from contemporary to traditional (as pictured).
One of their perennial best sellers is the 'basic steel bath' which comes in a range of sizes starting at 1400 x 700mm (55 x 28in) wide and going up to 1700 x 750mm (67 x 30in). The cost for the smaller version is £169 (only £149 without tap holes). You can visit C.P. Hart in North London at 103-105 Regent's Park Road, Primrose Hill, NW1 8UR or in Waterloo at Newnham Terrace, Hercules Road, SE1 7DR. Call them and speak to their helpful advisors on (020) 7586 9856.
Windsor Bathrooms, based in Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire, also sell a good range of bathroom equipment, including baths for tight spaces. Armitage Shanks and Ideal Standard both produce a bath that measures 1200 x 700mm (47x28in) at £235.
The Italian manufacturer Novarini also make one measuring 1400 x 700 (55x28in). This comes in white and off-white and costs £210. Contact Windsor Bathrooms on (01782) 717517.
