Although it had a reputation for being full of pensioners, the area is up and coming – journalists are calling Eastbourne the new Brighton… so it's a possible money-making area.
The last seven years have seen a massive amount of regeneration across East Sussex, in Eastbourne and St. Leonard's particularly, with £5 million government investment in Eastbourne alone.
Because of the regeneration, houses in the area tend to go for asking price – unless they have been on the market for a while – so if you see a place you like, go for it.
Hastings has suffered in the past from being a tricky place to get to, but new travel links are opening up. Hastings is going to link up to the Ashford-Kings Cross high speed rail link, which will mean easier access to London – and beyond...
