Julien McDonald has worked at some of the most distinguished fashion houses in the world including Givenchy, Chanel and Alexander McQueen.
Despite his controversial views on the use of fur in his collections ("People who don't like fur can p*ss off. I love fur. It's a beautiful natural product from animals", he said recently!), he was named British Fashion Designer of the Year in 2001 and has received an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to fashion.
