Jennifer Lopez's desperation to have children has reportedly prompted her to undergo IVF treatment.

According to the Sun newspaper, the singer and actress has been trying the fertility treatment at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

Curvaceous J-Lo is said to have told other women receiving treatment there that she wants to have two children with her husband, the singer Marc Anthony.

"She said she'd recently started treatment and couldn't wait to have a family," a fellow patient told the newspaper.

Since her wedding to Anthony in 2004 the singer has made no secret of her desire to have children. Last year she was reported to have claimed that she would "do anything to get pregnant".

The Sun also reports that she has undergone a strict health regime to help her get pregnant.

Other A-list actresses who have been desperate to have children have turned to adoption to fulfil their maternal urges, including Sharon Stone and Angelina Jolie.
