Top Ten Tips To a Hell-Raising Halloween!
It's that time of year again when things go bump in the night. Even if you're the scardiest cat in town, you can't help but love Halloween: the costumes, the sweets, the ghoulish grinning pumpkins. And it's a great excuse to act like a kid again. So follow our guide to your most hellish Halloween yet and be prepared to scream...
1. Do you like scary movies?
Of course you do! So grab the popcorn and a cushion to hide behind and hire some of the best spine-chillers around. Vintage classics such as The Shining and Evil Dead or modern horrors like The Blair Witch Project will all get your knees knocking.
2. Or Party On
Halloween is the perfect time for a fancy-dress party so don your witch's hat and your fake blood and invite your fellow ghouls to celebrate the dark side. Play heavy metal and serve blood-curdling cocktails for added effect.
3. Trick or Treat
Whether you love or loathe the tradition, they're still going to come a-knocking. So be prepared and stock up on sweets and chocolate bars for those little monsters.
4. Play it Safe
If your children want to go trick and treating, then make sure you or another adult accompanies them. Stick to streets you know, and ideally houses you know the inhabitants of, and only accept wrapped sweets and chocolate.
5. Sugar and spice and all things nice
Get those pumpkins and candy apples in early - there's always a last-minute stampede and you don't want to be left with a pumpkin the size of an orange.
