“These programmes are fantastic. I like watching them myself and I always come away with some tip or other. And they really help people who don’t have a big support network.” The UKTV Baby Squad Careline (08453 455 600) would have had a famous soap star using it too if she’d known about it a few years ago. “To have a helpline to call up is so helpful. I didn’t have something like that when mine were little and if I had known about a helpline, I’d have been phoning it regularly!”

No wonder she enjoyed Baby Squad so much. Patsy remains a big fan of the cup of tea and good old chinwag with other mums method of solving parenting problems - something which happens on the show. “Of course, all the experts are fantastic and I learnt a lot from them, but there’s nothing nicer than sitting with another mum who’s had the same experience as you.”

And just like other mums throughout the land, she continues to face the same old dilemmas we’ve all faced since the dawn of time. “I seem to have sleep issues with mine even now” she revealed. “They still sleep in my bed! But," she admits with a smile "I can remember how much I loved my own Mum’s bed, so…”
