Eternally Louise
"Before I had children I hated people who gushed over their child and now I'm there, I'm that embarrassing mother," admits former pop princess Louise Redknapp. "When you have a baby your head changes. It gives you something so rewarding"

She might be an embarrassing mother, but 30-year-old Louise's charmed life has been anything but embarassing. She first came to fame with successful girl group Eternal and then married footballer-turned-TV pundit Jamie Redknapp. But her life has recently turned a corner with the birth of their son Charley last year.
Because Louise suffered from the fertility condition endometriosis, it took her four years to conceive and is one of the reasons that she seems to be so appreciative of motherhood.
"Endometriosis is an ongoing problem," says Louise. "There are no guarantees that I'll have another child. I'd like to have a girl, a sister for Charley - if I don't have any more problems conceiving. I'm just so happy to have Charley. Having my baby was the most bizarre and the happiest day of my life."
Louise says she felt ready for settling down and motherhood after an illustrious pop career. "I was 29 which I think was a good age. I'd had my career and seen a bit of the world. If I was 21 or 22 it would have been hard because I'd have felt there were still things I wanted to achieve."
Now Louise is relaxed about juggling full-time motherhood with work commitments.
"I've only just started to introduce some work again. I'm not busy to the extent where I'm out every day. I'd never work to the level where I was neglecting my baby. If something comes along that fits in with him, then that's great."
