From his customary perch on Michael's arm ('I don't do the sidewalk thing'), Ricky shares with us a fascinating glimpse of life with Home Edition's glamour-man Michael Moloney.

Doggy style
Looking good is clearly a priority for Ricky. 'I'm blessed with great bone structure, but it still takes work to look this good. On Home Edition, when we're travelling across America, the time zones really play havoc with my coat' sighs Ricky. His secret to achieving high-sheen-deep-lustre is his Evian atomiser which he never travels without. And when he's back home 'I just love my hydrotherapy and conditioning treatments at the pet spa. I guess you could say I'm kinda high maintenance...' he concedes.

Canine comforts
Having a personal aversion to threadbare sofas or god forbid, a dog basket, this pooch has his own monogrammed cashmere rug and doggy chocolate on his duck down pillow. And for dinner? 'I don't do dog food, I'm gluten-intolerant' he reveals, 'so Mike has a chef prepare my meals.' Natch.

California dreamin'
And how does he like to pass his time? 'I've got LA in my blood. God I love this city. I'm always hanging out at Rodondo Beach and Manhattan Beach where Mike has his shops. All Mike's friends have dogs too so we get together and party like all the time. It's a totally cool scene. Among my closest friends are Chihuahuas, Pikanese and poodles. You should see us when we're cruising the beach. God, we look AWESOME' says Ricky with characteristic modesty.

The ultimate accessory?
But mention the words 'trophy dog' and he instantly bristles. 'Me and Mike are a team. I have a fabulous sense of style and when we're shopping for Home Edition I'm always first to check out fabrics and soft furnishings. We're totally on the same wavelength.'
