Drop n' Roll Lifestyle

You probably spend several hours of the day struggling to keep careful control of your life - rushing through your daily routine of cooking, cleaning, work and kids. It's no surprise you sometimes need a weekend break or holiday to help you relax. But there's another equally refreshing way to get away from it all - simply drop everything, including yourself!

Release yourself to the control of gravity and you'll feel more than just your worries falling away. Ever fancied the idea of rolling out of control down a hill? Zorbing takes that idea and turns it into one of the most extreme experiences you'll ever have.

So how do you do it? Simply climb into the Zorb - a gigantic inflatable PVC ball about 3 metres in diameter. Inside this ball is a smaller ball that is suspended and held in position by over a thousand multicoloured strands of nylon. You will be safely harnessed inside the inner ball, the outer is zipped up, and then the whole thing is launched from a ramp at the top of a steep hill.

If this sounds crazy, it is. You will be rolling down the hillside, gaining speed with every revolution, until the sky and earth merge into one. Since there are no obstructions you'll build up a real head of speed as you fall and roll downwards. There's even room for two people inside the ball, so take a friend. Your daily routine will start to look very different after this... so go on, experience a feeling of weightlessness and become a Zorbonaut!

Ripcord Romps
If plummeting down a hill inside a giant beach ball doesn't appeal, then there is another way that's guaranteed to blow the cobwebs from your hair: A two-day course that will see you dropping like a stone from an aircraft, before floating gracefully to the ground beneath a giant canopy of silk.

There are plenty of courses round the country where you can learn to parachute. Usually this takes the form of a weekend - the first day involves training by experts and the second day is the jump itself: a leap into the void from 3,000 feet up in which your parachute is opened automatically as you leave the aircraft.

Anyone who has done this will confirm that the world will never look the same again - and reveal that the fear was worth it. So take the leap and you'll be buzzing for days...
