Meet Sandra Scott

Meet the psychiatrist behind the confidence-boosting personal makeovers featured in Who Do You Think You Are?

Dr. Sandra Scott qualified as a doctor at St. Bartholomew Hospital's School of Medicine in 1993. She trained as a psychiatrist at the Bethlem Royal and Maudsley hospitals.

Sandra specialises as a child psychiatrist, and is now based at the Maudsley. She also works with Kids Company - a children's charity providing educational and counselling support to children from deprived backgrounds.

She is a Trustee of ChildHope, a charity dedicated to improving the lives and defending the rights of street children throughout the world.

These days the media increasingly seeks Sandra's advice. She was the weekly 'stress doctor' in the Daily Mail, has worked as a consultant on BBC 1's Casualty amongst other television and film projects, and has written for Good Health Magazine and the New Scientist. She has appeared on numerous television programmes including Confidence Lab and Newsnight for BBC2, Big Brother for Channel Four and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here and Temptation Island for ITV.

Sandra is currently writing her first book, The Future of Happiness.
