Meet Andrea Maflin
Textile designer Andrea Maflin has a list of clients as long as her arm - and she's just added UKTV Style to her list! Andrea's flexing her creative muscles for UKTV Style's brand new interiors show, Our Home.
Andrea trained at Winchester School of Art and graduated with a BA in textile design. For the next four years she sold fashion textiles worldwide and was then commissioned by Oliver Sweeney to design and implement his shoe concession within Harvey Nichols. This led to her working exclusively for the store creating all lift facades, cash desks and visual displays.
Since then Andrea has worked throughout Europe for interior designers such as Richmond International, Hirsh Bedner Associates, Andrew Winch (for whom she created decorative finishes for an ocean-going yacht!), The Catto Gallery, Sandy Lane Hotel Barbados and Queen's Tennis Club. Andrea has also created bespoke designs for London's Savoy Hotel and Curzon Cinema, Selfridges, Parker Pens and Citibank.
Between 1998 and present, Andrea has made many appearances on Homefront and Real Rooms, and is currently starring in Our Home for UKTV Style. Andrea is also regularly asked to contribute to interior magazines and has had work published in Homes & Gardens, Good Homes, House & Garden, BBC Good Homes and The Express Magazine. She also writes a regular monthly column for both House Beautiful and Rooms & Living and in her "spare time" has published four books: Decorative Paper (Conran Octopus), Decorative Crafts (Collins & Brown), Makeover Magic (Cima) and New Ways With Paint (Cico).
