Meet Mike Robinson

Already a regular on UKTV Food, TV chef Mike Robinson's new project culminates in three TV series for UKTV Gardens (Heaven's Garden) and UKTV Food charting the ups and downs of Mike's new adventure. We follow Mike and his wife Katie for a unique insight as they become the new owners of Berkshire gastro-pub, The Pot Kiln.

Mike bought the pub early in 2005 - it was his local family boozer and where he enjoyed his first ever pint! The series for UKTV Gardens will look at the produce grown on site, while the series for UKTV Food will focus on life in the kitchen. As seen on UKTV Food's, Great Food Live, Mike's simple, rustic-style of cooking is his signature style and it is this that is key to his pub's success.

First spotted while cheffing in Chamonix in 2002, Mike has since starred in two UKTV Food shows - Chalet Slaves, which focuses on Savoyard specialties enjoyed by seasonal chalet workers in Chamonix, and Safari Chef, where Mike travelled around Africa seeking the best of the continent's cooking.

Since then, Mike has also appeared on BBC 2's Saturday Kitchen, as well as BBC 1's Ready Steady Cook.

In spring 2004 he set up Mike Robinson Wild Foods, supplying crayfish to many of London's restaurants and hotels. This company is run by Mike, his wife, his cousin and his parents.
