Did you see the shots of Kirsten Dunst in New York last week? She was wearing a cute tea dress, trilby hat and black flip-flops. She looked amazing. Now contrast that with Victoria Beckham who can't leave the house unless there's a five inch heel strapped to her foot. The beauty of flats is their sheer effortlessness - in fairness, hardly a trademark of the good Mrs B. They work with denim shorts and vest (think Chloe Sevigny), with a sundress (Kate), with denims (Fearne – Cotton not Britton) or with a kaftan on your honeymoon (Coleen).
