The parka that's fronting FCUK’s AW06 ad campaign has, perhaps not surprisingly, been the smash of the season. It features a drawstring and toggle adjustable waist so unlike many of its contemporaries it actually defines your silhouette. The season's essential coat references the Sixties mod vibe, but you don't need pointy shoes and pudding-bowl hair for it to work this time round. The beauty of the 2006 parka is that you can wear it anywhere: with jeans to the football, with slinky shift to Christmas parties, with a tailored trouser and tunic to the office... there's just one rule: wear it long otherwise it takes on a vague whiff of anorak, and you definitely don't want that.This feature was published in November 2006.
