Into the gastronomic heartland….

In this entertaining series combining delicious food with travel, James Martin travels to Brittany, retracing the journey he made as a student cook.
Joined along the way by fellow British chefs The Hairy Bikers, Laurence Keogh and Martin Bluno, James starts each day with a visit to the local market where he samples and buys the freshest produce and picks an atypical spot in which to prepare his food. As a result, every dish he prepares is 100% spontaneous and showcases the best of the French scenery.
With mouth-watering recipes, witty banter and breathtaking scenery, this is a series to inspire both food fans and travellers alike. The second part of James’ french trip, James Martin’s Champagne (5x30'), will be available in 2009.

Discovering the foods of multicultural Britain

Cooking combines with culture in this engaging series co-presented by one of television’s best loved chefs, John Torode and Celebrity Masterchef 2006 runner-up Hardeep Singh Kohli. Travelling around the country, they explore the many varied communities of multicultural Britain and their incredibly diverse cuisine. Their mission is simple: in each episode they investigate and cook two dishes traditional to the community they visit. But in the ultimate challenge, they must present their dishes in a taste test to perhaps the harshest and most discerning of critics – the locals themselves. Can their food measure up?

A celebration of Chinese food

Gary Rhodes and three young apprentices take a trip of a lifetime across China. Their mission: to find the best of authentic regional Chinese cuisine, learn how to cook it, and then return to the UK to cater for a major celebratory banquet.
Packed with new recipes, adventures, real people and real stories the series takes one of Britain’s favourite chefs to China at an important moment in its history. The series also explores myths behind Chinese food and discovers the regional variations from this vast country, what food means to its people and their way of life, and how the audience at home can interpret the dishes for themselves.
