Got my usual seat on the train into work and caught up on the day’s news and gossip with Metro, accompanied by some Ibiza favourites on my ipod. Grabbed scrambled egg on toast from Downtime (our in-house restaurant) to eat at my desk while checking my emails.
First meeting of the day was our daily dissection of the newspapers with the rest of the press team. It was a quiet news day, with a couple of picture-led stories featuring fat animals and a survey claiming women spend on average 20+ hours a week on their mobile.
Spent the morning pitching A-list celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe, to relevant magazines and newspapers for interviews to promote the premiere of her exclusive fly-on-the-wall series on new channel, Really. Sent a request list of 15 interviews to her US agent, only to receive permission for three – The Times online, TVscoop.com and The Sunday Times Style magazine.
Wandered down Great Portland Street (specifically to Top Shop!) with a couple of the team to get some fresh air and grab a bite to eat. Pho on Great Titchfield Street is our latest lunch obsession.
Spent the rest of the afternoon at the Market Kitchen studios in Kentish Town, overseeing a photoshoot with presenters Tom Parker-Bowles, Amanda Lamb, Rachel Allen and Matthew Fort. It had been a bit of logistical nightmare to organise, but think the new publicity shots are going to look great. Really liked celebrity photographer Nicky Johnston and looking forward to seeing more of his work on Britain’s Next Top Model next week.
Finished the day with a few work colleagues enjoying a glass of rose in The Albany before heading home.
