Keith has held senior roles with a number of major international broadcasters and has significant experience in platform negotiations, content acquisition, channel and programme distribution, and legal and business affairs.
As Executive Director, Commercial, Keith has overall responsibility for the management of UKTV’s platform relationships, all commercial activity and business development, programme supply from both BBC Worldwide and other suppliers, as well as legal and business affairs. He also sits on UKTV’s Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to joining UKTV in January 2009, Keith acted as General Counsel for The Sparrowhawk Media group of companies (now part of NBCU) and was a member of their Executive Management Team. As such, Keith was involved in all legal aspects of the business, with particular emphasis on corporate financing, channel carriage negotiation, programme acquisitions and sales, as well as the deal documentation and due diligence leading to the eventual sale of Sparrowhawk Media to NBCU in October 2007.
He previously worked at BVITV (now Disney ABC International Television) for 11 years, where as SVP Legal and Business Affairs he was responsible for negotiating major licensing agreements and advising senior Walt Disney Company management on all legal aspects of the international television distribution business. He was also a member of BVITV’s Executive Team.
Keith graduated from Cambridge University in 1983 with a BA (Hons) in Law.
