Description
Hazeldene Farm is currently in an organic conversion period. With organic chicken and eggs on offer already, by next year the beef, lamb and pork produced by the owners and their local butcher will be organic as well. Having owned the farm for only two years, the couple were previously working like many others in an office job, but took the plunge and went for their dream of running their very own farm. Customers are often shown around the farm to see the animals, which are mostly native rare breeds. There are also plans for a tea room to be opened in the near future, so watch this space.

if you want fantastic matured steak, home made sausages and burgers then this is the place to go we get all our meat from this little local farm last christmas we had the best turkey we've ever tasted. freindly owners who are only to happy to show there live stock and what a collection they have the chicken here is slow growing and tastes much better for it, so please support this amazing local business.

I've been in the food industry for over 25 years, believing I'd found the best meat money could buy in the UK. I don't say it often, I was wrong! Last August I stummble across Hazeldene Farm, it's organic, but better. They have a few of the last 500 traditional Herefords, some of the 150 fantastic British Lop sows, for eggs a flock of Marsh Daisy Chickens approx 240 hens left in the UK. They've just started with organic Saxo chicken - slow grown for compassion & great flavour. Not only is the farm amazing, it's only a short way from the Met line in Chesham (5mins by cab)in an amazing Chilterns setting. The shop is small, but great, with their stunning meat complimented by great biodynamic fruit and veg from Laverstoke Park in Hampshire. Because it's small best to visit on a Saturday when they've got their butcher Dave in situ, and are stocked well with produce. These guys are an inspiration to any foodie with dreams of a better life - you'd be mad not to look around and get your eggs, bacon & bangers for Sunday breakfast. Leave some space for a great sunday roast, you've be crazy not to try.
