This family owned and run butchers has been in the butchery trade since 1984. They aim to combine traditional butchery skills with a modern approach to selling meat. P & B Pyne has maintained a strong relationship with the local community and farmers, from who they source premier meat and poultry. The owners are keen to minimise the number of food miles that meats travel in order to maintain freshness and quality. The welfare of the animals is also of paramount importance for the quality of their products. P & B Pyne produces its own range of sausages, bacon, beef burgers and cooked meats, all of which customers can watch being produced on the premises.

When we first moved to Somerset just before christmas '03 and found Pynes, the staff were so welcoming we would not go anywhere else - . they are so friendly, always cheerful, nothing too much trouble. The quality of all their prodiucts are superb! They use local farmers, their bacon and sausages are to say the least. superb! I doubt if either the service or quality can be matched.

Friendly, knowledgeable service of quality 'low miles' meat! The faggots are particularly tasty - tip: go on Tuesday for these!

Fantastic butchers - always a lovely warm welcome. I always go there for my meat especially rib of beef which is superb, and the delicious home-made sausages, and the Christmas birds! They deserve to win, please.

Everything about this shop is special and we wish we had found you in 1984! We would not go anywhere else now - great staff, very friendly and always cheerful, nothing too much trouble. Consistently high quality foods- meat, cooked produce, cheeses - you're the greatest in the SW!

Consistent high quality meats, always show source of supply which is local. Very entertaining staff, always make time to guide and assist and good banter between staff members and customers.

We know where the meat comes from, we know the farmers, we see the stock in the fields . The quality of meat is consistently high; nothing is too much trouble for the staff in the shop. It is a pleasure shopping there.

Tenderest meat, varieties of prepared products, cheerfull service, informed advice, queing is an entertaining social event. A local supplier using local suppliers, does it get any better than this?
