Visit this place for exceptional quality local food at a very affordable price. Premises the cleanest I have seen anywhere, and the family go out of their way to help.

The quality of meats supplied by this local family firm is exceptional. Their Beef is simply the finest I have ever come across, hung for a minimum of 21 days, it is invariably full of flavour and meltingly tender. The home cured bacon is equally sensational and knocks the spots off other "finest quality brands". The single limitation is that it sells out too quickly and if you're not quick off the mark there's none left. I can't recommend either the products or their service highly enough!

Family business, farm shop sells the best meat I have tasted for years! They make sausages and burgers as well. Huge and spotless shop area, meat cut as you request it. In summer Sara makes ice cream - absolutely delicious! Cannot praise this farm shop enough, their service is truly second to none. You are made to feel like their only customer , nothing is too much trouble. The meat comes from their Cumbria farm. It is 'hung' for much longer than usual [hope thats the correct term!] so it's darker than I've seen in other butchers. The lamb, beef and pork are so tender and tasty! The shop is only open Thurs',Fri' and Saturdays from 8am. I recommend them to you. review this place now
