I have been buying Ashley's Gourmet Foods preserves for several years... and they are quite exceptional in originality and taste. I know that whenever I serve them at a meal with friends... they raid my stock to take home, and I have to get some more! If you've never tried them... may I suggest you start with one of their delicious chutneys and the Marinated Artichokes. On the other hand you really should try their Spicy Marinated Olives.... "They should be served in every restaurant they are so yummy"!!! (Quote from Brother-in-Law) Even friends who don't like olives love these and buy them for themselves... one, by the bucket load! If you think I'm enthusiastic about this company's Preserves... you'd be right! I don't usually buy preserves as I prefer to make my own... but these are even better, and worth every penny. I have no idea how the owners, Ashley and Sally manage to hand make these, as they have such busy lives, a growing family and Ashley is also a full time Chef. I would like to vote for Ashley's Gourmet Food for Local Hero 2007 because I think it takes a lot of courage and determination to run such a business, in these days of Hyper Supermarkets and mass commercialization. Well done... I wish you every success!

They make homemade jams, chutneys, dressings, spicy marinated olives and peppers. As much as possible is sourced locally or home grown [ie the fruit]. As seen on the Market Kitchen on UKTV Food and sold at Cassons where i work as a chef. review this place now
