Description
Until recently, the farm shop was named after its previous owner, John Miles. The farm shop is an accredited butcher of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, specialising in traditional and rare breeds such as Dexter, Belted Galloway and Traditional Hereford beef. Their pork is notably from Gloucestershire Old Spots pig, and their lamb comes from breeds that include the Dorset Horn and Shropshire. They also make their own pies and home-made meals, and offer a selection of pates and cheeses.

A first rate butcher. Not only do they have a wide knowledge of cuts and breeds but because they specialise in traditional breed meat it is of particularly high quality and has complete traceability.

They only supply local British rarebreed beef, lamb and pork. The staff are all very knowledgable on what cuts and how to cook them. They also have a deli and cook ready meals on site, again using local ingredients, which is hugely popular, especially at lunchtimes! I supply them with my Jacob lamb and again they are very helpful with the booking in at the abattoir.

The meat from names rare breeds is out of this world and there's total transparency as to where they're from (local farms) and what breeds they are. This gives a whole new dimension to choosing the Sunday roast or even a chop. The sausages, bacon etc is alos the best for a long distance around and the staff are always polite and helpful. You can also get pies and ready meals made there that are sooooo good - flavoursome and bursting with lean meat - that it's all just so wonderful.
