We go to the Lakes every year and every year we spend a day in Grasmere. I don't like any other gingerbread but Grasmere Gingerbread. You walk up to the shop and every time there is a queue, even in the rain people want to buy it. Please vote for this food hero - this gingerbread is magic . You go to heaven and back every time you take a nibble.

Until you taste this gingerbread, you cannot understand just how good it is. I have been a fan for years and ALWAYS visit Grasmere whenever we visit Cumbria. A couple of years ago, I went there with my brother and his girlfriend. She couldn't wait to try it, but he said he didn't really like gingerbread. We bought our delicious smelling packages and set off across the churchyard next door. My brother decided to try a piece just to see. I turned round, and he was gone- to the shop! He came back with a pack of 12 pieces. Another convert!

This gingerbread is superb - my family has been buying it for over 40 years and it tastes the same today as it did on the first day. The service is always friendly and welcoming and very professional and efficient. We love the fact that they now offer a fantastic mail order service, so we don't have to drive up from London to buy it and always have a supply available in our house. This company offers a unique high quality truly delicious product and matches it with a customer service which cannot be bettered. My husband loved the Valentine's Day heart too - a great idea - what are you doing for Christmas?

The first time I visited Grasmere was with my new boyfriend, now my husband, in 1994. The aroma of warm gingerbread from the little schoolhouse was so enticing that I have become addicted to it. We make an annual pilgrimage to Grasmere every year now just to buy the delicious gingerbread. Although I purchase it online now as well I'm so looking forward to buying it from the shop at the beginning of October. My mouth is just watering at the thought! Absolutely gorgeous.
