I am glad to see this fantastic farm being entered for this competition. Over the years I have watched this farm grow into a fabulous family environment where it is a joy to take your children for the day. (my daughter swears they sell the best steak pies anywhere). Our experience of spending the day there whether or not we bring our own picnic or now eat in the cafe, pick our own fruit and then going home and making our own jam has become a very regular part of our summer holidays. This experience allows my children to feel part of creating something wonderful in the kitchen. I have always found the team at the farm helpful and encouraging. The commitment the family at this farm show for the love of their produce is exemplary and they should be rewarded.

Craigies is a life-changingly brilliant place. We all eat better since we started going there. Meat is great. Veg is great. Eggs are amazing. You can sit in the garden and eat cake with views over Edinburgh and down to the sea whilst your kids play on mini-tractors.

Criagie Farm on the outskirts of Edinburgh is a wonderful place to come and over the years has expanded into a lovely cafe over looking the fields, Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth. The fruit, vegetables, meat and cheese and all the other produce is all of the highest standard. It is a joy to come visit.

This is what local produce is all about. The quality of their product is second to none. I love their dining area and the friendly staff make it a pleasure every time you visit. Sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful food and views.

I have been picking soft fruit there since my children were tots, they are now in their early 30's and I will be taking my Granddaughter soon to do the same! It has a lovely new shop with such a warm friendly atmosphereand a lovely cafe, the family are so warm and welcoming.

I have been buying fruit and vegetables here for over 20 years and I am still going back. Top quality fruit and vegetables, jams preserves and now their supberb deli with organic meat, chees etc. Cafe is brillant too and alovely family always make you feel as if you have known them for years. Coming from Irleand and a farming background I would recommend this lovely place to anyone, also has a fab view and lovely walks, everyhting, just fab but then I am a devoted fan, hope you all are too! I have been going to Craigies before my kids were born for picking fruit. They people there have always been friendly and helpful but now with the cafe and larger shop you can take longer to enjoy the food (fabulous!) and the views (gorgeous). They are also open to suggestions - I suggested a veggie option for breakfast - and they have added that to their menu also. Brilliant! Myra A, Livingston
