This is what real fishmongers should be if you can find one.They sell just about any seafood you could want & from friendly down to earth staff.Drive anywhere in the Northeast area & you'll see a Hodgsons van delivering to most of the best restaurants--that says it all--

Fishmongers are a dying breed, W.Hodgson are what any good fishmonger should be about and they deserve any award!

Fish, either straight from the sea - or pretty damn fresh from the wholesalers! I loved fish, but hated bones five years ago when I moved to Hartlepool. Now no fear of the bones due to their advice - more to the point they have taught me how to cook fish - and I still love it and now revel in it! The best bit for me - is that they do this for everyone walking in the door - If this gets to an award they would be surprised - since they don't know me from ADAM yet they have completely changed my view of fish! They really deserve this award! review this place now
