This is a good value hotel with bed and breakfast facilities. HUGE portions and also lunchtime snacks and A la Carte menu in the evening. Also own micro brewery. A very warm and friendly atmosphere. Newly owned in June 2006.

The sheer dedication and enthusiasm provides culinary wonders and delights to all Jon Fells customers.The masterpieces are served with efficency ,pride and knowledge of the ingredients used.

the chef jon fell is completely passionate about all aspects of food. His menus offer superb creations to please all tastes and include realy good vegetarian options.His creations using local herdwick lamb are particularly good.

The food is fantastic, the menu constantly changes to reflect what is fresh and in season, cooked to perfection and served by great staff.

The chef, Jon Fell, sources all his ingredients locally (except shellfish). The beef and lamb especially comes from a farm at the head of the dale. review this place now
