This is my review of La Oficina what can I say? Well, as a local who loves going into La Oficina it's such a welcome you get when you walk through the door, it's like being at home on a Sunday at your mum's home having your Sunday dinner. It's such a nice feel where you can make new friends. I have been going to La Oficina for about a year and also i have a little dog called Barney who is welcome in the pub, so it's nice that I can take my dog in there when it's raining and the weather is really bad. It's nice to sit at the bar with your tea and have a bit of lunch as well. La Oficina has had a review in the local paper and they got 5 stars for the service and food and at a good price. All the food is all home made cooking which is nice. because you don't get home made cooking any more all the food is fresh every day. You know your food comes from a fresh butchers and market stall and from the local community food specialist shops. There is a lot of history with La Oficina - they have ghosts nights in the week because the history of the place is that it is haunted as well and that makes it fun. At the beginning of the year before i started to go in I was thinking maybe they will not like me because I'm a gay man and how would they feel about me going in there because a lot of straight people go in there. So I thought I had to go in and make new friends. When i found out that the pub and cafe is also gay friendly that made me feel a lot better because it's friendly to all types of people. And that's why i became a local in the La Oficina.

A fantastic continental experience with the selection and diversity the Spanish themselves would envy. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere is inviting with the reassurance of a smile and polite conversation whenever you enter. Surely a welcome venue to any connoisseur of drink with an appetite for some of the more refined delicacies España has to offer

The reason i'm voting for La Officia is because of the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the freshly made home cooked food. Most of the food is bought localy and coked to order. Homemade beefburgers are to die for and served served American style with homemade chips. Yum. Also they have a good selection of drinks including alcohallic and non. The staff are friendly and efficient and always have a smile on their faces :-) They have just opened there new beer garden which is lovely cos in the afternoon it catches the sun.If you heve not been there you really must go! I highly recomend it.

To quote a certain Ms Morissette "It's little bit of everything, all rolled into one"...though in this case, everything is good. It's a place the staff are more friends than people just after your money. The food is top quality and they're always trying new things and taking on board their customer's suggestions. Always striving to improve and make the cuisine and the whole experience to the best possible standard, but at a reasonable price. A place with a fantastic ambience, to go anytime of the day or evening and just relax and unwind whatever your race, colour or creed.

I can whole heartedly recommend La Oficina for all occasions. I probably visit at least 5 times a week, sometimes for a breakfast, sometimes for a coffee mid morning, other times for a relaxing afternoon talking to friends over a beer. This bar satisfies all my needs, with regard to food, drink & extremely good friendship. I know that I can always find someone to share my time with whilst enjoying a drink and food from their extensive menu of home cooked food. NB not a microwave in sight. Thus I feel that La Oficina definitely matches up to my definition of being the perfect place to eat, drink and be merry.

My first recollection of La Oficina was during my lunch break. Feeling very hungry my friend & I smelt the home cooking and decided to have lunch there. Homemade cottage pie with fresh vegetables. We have been eating there ever since. I've had many laughs and made some good friends. Not being someone that goes out much, I feel very safe and welcome. Thank you La Oficina, I'm looking forward to many more good times.

I often go to La oficina for a coffee or sandwhich and they are lovely. the coffee is a special brand from a specialist coffee shop and you get a choice of milk, cream or a shot. The food is also a great success as it has a wide variety and if you don't fancy anything on the menu you can still have what you want as the staff will make food of your choice. La officina is always a nice place to be.their is also bar snacks for customers to eat whilst drinking which is good if your feeling peckish. Everyone is so friendly and you get on like family from the first day you walk in.The food is great and the propiety is clean. If you like spain you will LOVE this place as it is a continental bar and makes food from all cultures the bar is full of money from other destinations and from 100's of years back. La oficina is a great place to be thats why they have my vote.

I have been eating in la oficina for nearly 2 years now, and it is the friendliest and customer oriented place that i have ever been to. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with warmth and laughter. It has an aladdins cave of rooms that satisfy your every mood. The main bar is small and friendly and can deceive you to the size of the actual premises. on the same level there is a Restaurant and function room that is tastefully decorated and a lovely place to sit down to a good hearty meal. Upstairs there is a loft bar hosting large welcoming comfy settee's and a perfect place for a little peace and quiet, or if you prefer a little sunshine a wonderfull garden downswtairs which is a wonderfull suntrap. Now down to the food, the menu is extensive, with everyones taste taken into consideration. If it's not on the menu then the propieter Judy Jenner will do her upmost to satisty your tastebuds. The food is all cooked fresh to an extremely high standard and the finest of produce is used. Most ingredients are supplied from local farmers and farmers markets and so you can imagine are full of flavour and stand up way above anything you can buy in your larger resteraunts and bars. The amazing part of all this is the fact that the prices are so reasonable and many local traders eat there on a daily basis.

La Oficina is the only restaurant in Wellingborough that serves home cooking to customer specification, catering not only for meat eaters but also vegetarians. From chips to steak & ale pies, everything is freshly cooked on the premises and the proprietor Judy Jenner makes everybody welcome in a nice relaxed atmosphere, cookes nice food and adds lovely finishing touches to the meal. Not only do the meals taste good, they looks appetising. The food is also good value for money & thats why i am voting for Judy at La Oficina
