how lucky we are in this village to have a butcher of this quality.Deana and Andrew work hard to ensure that their products are local, traceable and seasonal. the quality of the meats are superb , with special mention of the lamb and the dry cure bacon.Deana also listens and reacts to customer requests, which has resulted in the addition of some new superb free range chickens. it is a pleasure to shop at such a quality establishment

This butchers provides without doubt some of the best meat in the northwest. the staff are both warm, friendly and knowledgable about all their products. It is a pleasure to shop at this butchers, and to prove my point i travel 50 miles to purchase their quality meats.

Excellent quality local meat. Staff are very friendly and helpful and always willing to offer advice. A real asset to our village!

For service with a smile, quality of meat etc. to a "t" and excellent value for money, you couldn't possibly beat this family run business. They have a definite plus side when it comes to satisfying every customer's tastes - there is so much variety of meats/poultry on offer we are often spoilt for choice. Love their "Kebabs", "Whirls", "Sausages" & "Chicken Fillets with apple sauce stuffing" - We especially liked their "Turkey Roll Joint" at Christmas (took up less room in the Fridge than a full sized Turkey)- also it was top quality in taste too! Finally, suffice to say - "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" is certainly true in my husband's case - he must be one of life's most difficult to please at times but A & D Parkinson's most certainly keep him well fed and contented. They deserve to win!!!!

What excellent meats, choices constantly changing with new innovative creations to try. The staff are always so pleasant, service with a smile hasnt gone from this village, friendly shop. Long live the small shop, which supplies the fresh local produce to our region. You get my families vote everytime

Excellent quality meat produced by creative, attentive staff in a beautifully clean shop. Imaginative choices available which change from day to day. Selection of home made sausages. The owner (who is a lady butcher) cares very much about the quality of meat she produces and this is reflected in the meat offered for sale. I have been a very satisfied customer since they opened, and wish them every success in this competition. They deserve to win!
