A fantastic butchers offering superb quality food with exceptional service. Great to enjoy a true family business - it was started by the present proprieters great grandfather. Imagine, then, our disappointment when we discovered that the owners may soon have to give up the business due to soaring rents. This surely can't ba allowed to happen (it's a fate befalling a number of Northcote Road stalwarts currently). It's worth going out of our way to support traditional businesses such as this, before Northcote Road too becomes a generic high street populated by faceless chain stores. Save Doves!!

I love this place! A real local quality butcher, with great organic meat, amazing homemade pies and scotch eggs, and just an enjoyable place to come into on a Saturday morning. Thank goodness I live nearby, but I'd drive through London to get her, if I didn't!

The very colorful Bob Dove and staff. Whenever I'm in the UK, it's my #1 stop. There's nothing like it in the US. And, the meat ain't bad, either.

this is a fantastic butchers with real quality meat! the taste is just simply divine! Would highly recommend this butchers to anyone.

Great fresh meats with a wide variety of types. Very helpful service with great ideas - Nothing is too much. Nice touches like fresh asparagus, etc when in season.

Superb selection of meats. Lamb (Yorkshire in particular) excellent, and the best pork I've had. Tolouse sausages delicious.

Lovely Traditional shop, very friendly and helpful staff who have a genuine interest in the products. I especially like their Ridings Reserve.

Ive been buying my meat from Doves for over 5years now and I have never bought any meat from any supermarket since then. they are that good!! On top of that the owner and the rest of the staff are a great bunch. Joe

If its prime quality meat and great service to match look no further than A Dove & Son. I go there every month travelling from Brighton but its worth the journey because it just that good. review this place now
