Every single cut of meat or piece of chicken we have bought has been melt in the mouth delicious, and we have been going to the butchers every week for years - Fantastic, Local, Top Quality.

Your could easily drive past and miss this unprepossessing butchers shop - but DON'T! The meat is free range and organic from animals reared on the butchers' own farms. Usually I'm unimpressed by such statements as 'home fed'and 'home reared', so what? It means very little. However, Steve and Chris care deeply about their animals and the environment using only old fashioned, caring animal husbandry. I know all this because I practically interrogated them on my first visit and they are really happy to give any information you ask for and more besides. The sausages are brilliant and you can cuts of meat that don't exist in the supermarkets, fresh suet and the most tasty and addictive dry cured bacon. There's even capons at Christmas, which my mum has not seen for about 15 years. A visit to this shop is definitely worth the 20 mile round trip. review this place now
