Mark, 21 is known by all his friends and family as Spud. So it comes as no surprise to learn that he exists almost entirely on a diet of chips. Occasionally he'll eat crisps, bananas, chocolate and jelly, but nothing else.

This is all Spud has eated since developing a phobia of swallowing at 18 months old following a stomach bug. His family and friends have learned to live with and accept his condition, but it's always a talking point. His mum and his friend and housemate, Sparky would give anything to see him eat anything other than a chip!

Spud has tried to eat other foods in the past but can't get past the chewing process. The moment he tries to swallow, his throat closes up and he gags. Doctors, dieticians and hypnotherapists have all tried to cure his phobia, but with no success. He realises that his diet could have severe effect on his health and is determined to make a change at The Farm of Fussy Eaters.

Spud often hides behind his dry sense of humour to disguise his fears for the future, but this time, will our experts have the last laugh?
