Katie from The Farm Of Fussy Eaters

"When I try to eat most food I start to gag. My doctor said that I would grow out of it when I was 6 years old, I'm now 20 and it's still not any better!"

Katie first started refusing food at the age of just three months following a severe outbreak of hives. To this day, Katie has never tried a vegetable or piece of fruit, and will only eat white food.

Since she was five, her mum has encouraged her to take vitamin pills. She's now sick of taking them but says "If I don't take my supplements for about five days I just get ill!"

It's not just Katie's health that's suffering. She's sacrificed friendships as a result of her fussy eating, and her love life is on hold. One particular night out has put paid to candlelit dinners in the near future - "I did make myself go on one date and I told him I was very fussy. Where did he take me? A French restaurant of all places! Aside from not being able to read the menu, there was nothing that I could eat... it was horrible."

Katie keeps her weight down with a punishing exercise regime and is working towards becoming a competitive kickboxer. However, Katie's brittle bones have seen a few breakages due to her poor diet. She's also jeopardising her fertility and doctors have told her she may be unable to start a family unless she makes some radical changes to her eating habits.

Katie's goal is to sit down with her family and eat a big Sunday dinner - with all the trimmings. She's putting all her faith in our experts at The Farm of Fussy Eaters to make her dream come true.
