I want to see classic shows like domwatch, the goodies, likley lads, z- cars, adam adamant, dad's army, steptoe and son, dixon of dock green, clasic doctor who, blue peter, play school, old bill and ben, andy pandy, tales of the river bank, rainbow, button moon,top of the pops should I go on as I could but would we ever see them on UKTV gold NO we wouldn't as they how shows that are les than a year old but now take a stand and say LET US SEE THE OLD stuff

I agree I think there should be a channel of clasic shows, if you take a look a lot of old stuff never gets showen.
I contacted many channels including BBC, ITV, SKy and such for a archive channel and the only reply I got was from the BBC saying there is no call for tthe old shows, I think this is wrong as I love them and know others do as well as I see your coments on here, so lets all join and make a stand.

NO CALL FOR OLD CLASSIC TV SHOWS? Are Beeb joking? Old classic shows have their fans, and as for the old excuse that UKTV Gold have for not showing them because the quality is poor or dire, who cares if they are scratchy grainy have washed out colours or look blurred or smeary? I certainly don't.

There is a big demand for the old classic TV programs. but no one is listining.
to the public. And what they want.
Old TV Classics are left to rot in there film cans and go rusty.
As an old film projectionist, for many years I mist some old Classic TV and it would be nice to see some of them again.
As we now have many TV Channels to choose from.There sould be a dedicated channel for these Classics.

Dixon Of Dock Green with Jack Warner [ Good evening All ] Z - CARS. Spender [ With Jimmy Nail ] The Double Deckers. Get Some In [ With Tony Selby. We all love to remember our past, So bring Back the good times.
Don`t just show repeat after repeat after repeat.
If some one is out there help? don`t just read do something and help the Classic TV Veiwing public.

I would absolutely prefer to see some older shows i.e Happy Ever After, Sykes, Spring and Autumn, A Sharp Intake of Breath, Get Some In, Keep It In The Family, Shelley, Selwyn Froggit, Father Dear Father, Liver Birds, The Other One, For The Love Of Ada, Mike Yarwood, Val Doonican, Top Of The Pops, The Generation Game, Pop Quiz, Blankety Blank, Paul Daniels Magic Shows, The original Basil Brush Shows, Public Eye, Van Der Valk, Hart Of The Yard...need I go on? I think people are sick of the constant runs of anything with David bloody Jason, or Ronnie Barker in it. And why is UK GOLD cutting bits of the Two Ronnies out of the shows, they have been showing? Ifind that stupid. There is a big section of shows that do not get shown. So why show the same stuff over and over? It is Boring, time and time again. The programmes that UK GOLD show, do not even reflect their name GOLD, when most shows have not long been on Terrestral tv. It is just a load of rubbish in the end. They are nothing like what UK GOLD used to be in the early - mid-90s.
