Digging For Victory: About the Show
In this exclusive series to UKTV Gardens, one of Britain's most enthusiastic gardeners, Chris Collins (Garden Rivals, Blue Peter) and two-time Chelsea medal winner Hannah Genders (Heaven's Garden) take us on a tour of the UK's best allotments; their aim is to find the country's finest plot.
Using strict assessment criteria, Chris and Hannah will decide which of these outstanding gardening projects deserves the cash prize of £2,000 and the title of UKTV's Best Allotment.
Each programme will see Chris and Hannah inspect each site and consider its beauty, eco-friendliness, evidence of gardening skills and how the allotment supports local plants and produce. They'll also meet the gardeners themselves, discuss how each allotment was planned and taste some of the freshly-grown produce.

All the featured allotment sites received a goodie bag containing the following items:
An electric shredder from Spear and Jackson
Shopping vouchers for Two Wests and Elliot
A selection of tools from Wilkinson Sword
An electric hedge trimmer from Garden Groom
A recycled oak barrel water butt from Oak Barrel
The winning site received a shopping voucher for £2,000 to spend on gardening products at Wickes.
