Can anybody give me some interesting (but plain) recipes for traditional English food please. My other half won't eat anything "foreign" unfortunately and I am getting bored with the menus I serve up and would greatly appreciate some new ones that DON'T include spices (including onion)!!!

Hi Dee2 -

Here's a link to The Great British Kitchen site. Loads of recipes to choose from.

The Great British Kitchen is a smashing site. The other one I have stored in my favourites is The Foody UK And Ireland.

My eldest son has just bought me Great British Dinners - James Martin - it is excellent for simple cooking

Thanks to Livewire, sarahlee and monkeysuncle. I have looked at The Great British Kitchen site which I found very good. I shall get a copy of James Martin's Great British Dinners and also look at the Foody UK and Ireland website. I'm sure I can find some recipes in one or more of these which will please my other half. Thanks again.
