Just a comment to the producers who thought these two gentlemen may make interesting viewing - they don't! Unless, of course, you want to see different camera shots of Tony's house (or rather showing off as much as possible) and hoping we want to see how his electric shutters work on his windows to enable us to see his enormous projected television. Or, again, Tony boasting that the large object in his back pocket is his money. I would prefer to watch general cooking in the kitchen (which is what I thought the idea of a cooking programme was all about) without all the additional information provided which has nothing to do with cooking at all but just another reason for them to brag. Oh, and by the way Tony, you don't need to keep running your fingers through your unkempt hair - you're not God's gift to women - Sorry!

hi mel38, i saw this last night too, cant say as i was over impressed with the style of the programme, but i took it as not them two showing off, i must say i didnt pay too much attention to the materialistic things, but the food they cooked, was simple and easy, almost comfort food... they are different, almost flippant,a bit wacky, but fun too.

Hi mel38. If you think that there are too many of Tony's toys in this old series, just look out for the Ferrari Spyder and the trip into his pool, fully clothed! Snoozy has it about right, the cooking is good and George has a great way of putting Tony down, just a bit.

I like them together and bought the book, its light entertaining stuff wth refreshing food. Although I reckon Tony lives in a bedsit in Bermondsey really and borrowed the house from the beckhams. Doesnt Tony sound like Johnathan Ross, are they related do you think? Plus Mel38 if all cookery programmes followed the same path we would be bored to death. vive la difference

Well, I agree with relishmamma, I like the banter between them, i'ts a refreshing change, good simple tasty food that we can all make.
Plus theres something about that Cockney sense of humour that I personally find very appealing, and hands up, I think he's very tasty!!

I love the style of the program, as well. It's just a bit risqué and slightly laddish and some of the "out takes" at the end of the show are hilarious. It's relaxed and the food IS good and is made to look achieveable with just a bit of care and attention. The banter between the two of them does a lot to explain the cooking techniques involved without merely sounding instructional.
