The bosses are morons if they are really serious about finishing this show for good. GFL is fun to watch, and I honestly can't think of any other programme I watch on this channel. Jeni is a scream when she wants to be and deadly serious at other times. A perfect host. Have they given a reason for the show being axed yet ? Did one birdbrain decide to moan about something and so end it all ? We want to know why it's ending.
The chefs were all at ease with Jeni, they were themselves, and not snooty nosed personalityless cardboard figures that you see on other cookery shows.
Let her have a good break and bring it back after summer. The amount of posts on here asking for the show to be saved must say something to the fools that are axing it, or are they just another load of faceless wonders who don't give a fig what the public think ?

As eggsciting as watching a potato boil. Bring back Jeni who has more personality in her big toe.

Amanda, if you seriously think for one minute that we're going to warm to this garbage instead of Jeni, then you need medication. If you had put this on a couple of months before GFL was taken off air, it might have been a different story. No thought about possible viewers reaactions was considered in the decision, which hints to me that nobody at uk food bothers what we think about anything.

Could we PLEASE have an explanation as to why GFL was axed to start with ?
Has there been any word from UK food bosses at all about the reason ? We deserve an explanation, or don't viewers matter now ?

Sometimes Sarcasm is the only thing that gets idiots attention. I've been around long enough to know that. We don't want them to improve or tweak the programme, because it's utter codswallop. We want GFL back. If they can't give us the original team back that's ok, as long as Jeni has her own show with all our favourite chefs back.
They ARE treating us like children with that idiotic post they made, and that's only made matters worse. Waken up UK Food, MK is not working and it never will.

UKTV Food,
Could you please let us know what is the criteria for you deleting postings ?
Note : I have had numerous postings deleted.

I've also had a lot of posts deleted. It's a typical Big Brother ( Or Auntie in this case ) move. They hate anything too critical and can't stand to read the truth as it's told by loyal viewers of Jeni & GFL

I reckon it's because the message has been deleted. Happens to me all the time too.

I make a big pan of broth every couple of weeks. I use the broth mix from tesco which has been soaked overnight. Fresh ingredients are carrots, potatoes, leek, onions and neck of lamb for flavour. I normally make enough to do two days. However, sometimes ( not always ) the soup is off on the next day. I've just looked at it and it looks as though it's fermenting. Eek
Why should it do this ? Could it be the lentils as it's also happened with carrot & lentil soup ? Anyone else had similar problems ?
I'm wondering if it could be our water supply. On saying that, I also made a pan of carrot & lentil soup for my wife yesterday & that's fine today.

That's just what I did yesterday. I don't think it's the potatoes as the same thing's happened with plain carrot & lentil soup. Something's making it turn sour but what Confused
It doesn't happen every time. I've used fresh veggies, and frozen ones, and the same thing happens. I ALWAYS soak lentils or broth mix overnight and rinse it well so it can't be that.

Thanks for the tip re the potatoes though.

The pan's too big to go in the fridge. This has only been happening in the last few months. I've been making soup the same way for years and I'm really puzzled. Confused

Jan, the kitchen could be warmer as the house has been insulated a few months ago. However, it DID happen before we got the cavity insulation done as well. Maybe I just need to take it off the hob sooner, and leave the lid off to let it cool quicker.

The production company responsible for this don't give a hoot about what viewers think. They've made that clear by comments they made on here after GFL was taken off air. They responded to the multitude of posts by answering questions which sounded more like a primary school teacher telling kids to be good.
I watched the first programme of MK. I havn't watched UK food since
